I’ll make this quick, simple, and easy to read.
I write to the audience of my brothers and sisters, followers of Jesus Christ, who have doubts about Donald Trump being President of the United States because of his character issues.
We are four weeks away from the USA's November 5, 2024, Presidential elections.
For my Christian friends who think it is “un-Christian” to vote for Trump, I politely disagree, and I’ll explain why.
I’ll give you 24 Reasons of Principle why Donald Trump should be our President.
For years, some of my Christian friends thought I was “a liberal.”
They said that I advocate for women in leadership - which is correct since I believe that Spirit-giftedness is never gender qualified. Nevertheless, my Christian friends deemed me “a liberal.”
I study the sacred Hebrew and Greek Scriptures and believe that sometimes the English translations of these sacred texts don’t fully reveal the beauty of Scripture. For this reason, some have thought me to be a liberal.
I also teach that that institutional Christian evangelicalism thrives on fraudulent authority given to or taken by pastors who “rule over” God’s people. I’ve fought against this unbiblical institutional authority. For this reason, some labeled me “a liberal.
Ironically, I removed the AMERICAN FLAG from the auditorium where I served as pastor (over a decade ago) because I believe the Christ’s Kingdom trumps (intentional play on words) all political kingdoms, including any political party or President.
I am not a Christian nationalist.
I advocate the knowledge that Christ and His Kingdom rule over the nations of this earth.
The Bible teaches Christ rules over the USA, whether the proud accept Him or not.
With that background, I’ll give you 24 reasons, based on principle, for a Trump presidency.
Trump has many flaws. and as you read the following, if you forget everything else, remember this:
The Scripture is our guide, especially Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, and Ezekiel regarding the USA. Politics should mean nothing to us. An acknowledgment of the reign of Christ over all nations is everything. Any political party that refuses to recognize Christ's reign over the Universe, whether Republican, Democrat, or Independent, is not worth supporting. For us, Christ’s Kingdom is everything.
The 24 Principle Reasons for Trump
1. Trump’s America First vs. Harris’ Global First
A long time ago, a friend complained about spending money on remodeling the auditorium and parking lot of the church I pastored. “We should spend that money on missions!” she said. I responded:
“Unless you take care of home, you’ll never have enough money for abroad.”
Donald Trump knows that the world is helped when America’s interests come first.
2. J.D. Vance Is a Better V.P. Choice
Every American should ask the question, “If the President can’t finish his (or her) term, who becomes President?”
J.D. Vance, if Providence prevails, could become the greatest President the United States of America has ever had.
3. The USA Border Is More Secure Under Trump
Sadly, my Christian friends don’t understand that “open borders” for nations leads to the collapse of nations.
Bring all people in to Christ’s church. Open the doors, welcome the foreigners, and give freely to those in need.
“But when it comes to the nation, open borders lead to national ruin.” The Gospel is for everyone. But a nation maintains security through legal immigration, not lawlessness.
The Biden/Harris administration has promoted lawlessness at the border.
House Resolution 2, the REAL border bill that secured our border, Harris and Biden despised and worked to defeat it.
4. Trump’s Capitalism Is Better than Marxism
Donald Trump’s father was a member of the Birch Society.
Kamala Harris’s father was a member of the Marxist Society.
I greatly admire John Birch, but I have no admiration for Karl Marx.
Marxism is the opposite of Christianity because Marxism advocates the forcible redistribution of wealth. Jesus teaches voluntary redistribution.
5. Harris Is Being Installed, not Vetted.
One sentence is all that is needed to prove that Kamala Harris has never been voter-approved for holding any federal office.
Kamala was installed as the Democratic Presidential candidate without the will of people.
6. Trump’s Supreme Court Appointments
Donald Trump appointed three conservative justices to the Supreme Court during his first tenure as President (2016 - 2020), shaping our nation’s future for years to come.
The “in-alien-able” rights of life, liberty, and private property come from CHRIST (our Creator) and are secured by the Constitution of the United States, and Supreme Court Justices alone preserve those inalienable rights by upholding the Constitution and resisting democratic rule.
Protection of life is not a majority decision, nor is protection of liberty and property a matter of majority opinion.
7. Trump Supports Law Enforcement
Donald Trump is known for his strong backing of police and law enforcement agencies, advocating for law and order.
Kamala Harris is known for her decision to “defund the police” and “bail out criminals who break the law.”
8. Trump Is Pro-Business
Policies that focus on cutting corporate taxes and reducing government regulations are seen as beneficial for businesses.
Kamala Harris, according to the Wall Street Journal, has “flip-flopped.” Prior to running for President, VP Harris was against businesses. Now, she’s “changed.”
9. Trump Supports Israel
Middle East Peace Efforts: Supporters point to the Abraham Accords, which improved relations between Israel and some Arab nations.
Christians disagree over the modern state of Israel when it comes to the “End Times.”
But there should be no disagreement over this fact about Israel.
The nation of Israel governs with liberty in the midst of despotic governments full of tyranny.
10. Trump Opposes Globalism
Or should it be “Globalism Opposes Trump.”
Th United Nations and the World Health Organization believe Trump stands against ceding U.S. sovereignty to global entities.
He does.
Trump joins:
President Javier Mellie of Argentina.
President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador.
President Viktor Orban of Hungary.
In fighting the withering effects of globalism and the demonization of nationalism.
11. Trump Gets It Right on China
Trump took a tough stance on China, addressing issues like trade imbalances and intellectual property theft.
The Biden/Harris administration BEGS China to help the United States by stopping the sell of U.S. Treasuries, debts that finance irresponsible United States spending.
Donald Trump tells China they must submit to the United States.
12. Trump Understands Energy INDEPENDENCE.
“Drill, baby, drill.”
That’s the motto of Donald Trump and his energy policy.
Kamala Harris was against oil and gas drilling in 2019, but when she runs for President, she “suddenly changed her position.”
Anything for votes.
A principled person must support the consistent candidate, not the expedient one.
Advocates for energy independence through increased domestic oil, gas, and coal production.
13. Trump’s Tax Cuts Are Better than Tax Increases
Donald Trump, during his 2016-2020 Presidency, Passed through Congress, The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which lowered taxes for individuals and businesses.
Kamala Harris is proposing TAX increases, not TAX cuts.
Trump also rolled back regulations in areas like the environment and banking, which many businesses welcomed. Kamala Harris is for more government regulation.
14. Trump is FOR LIFE, not for Abortion.
Trump adopted strong anti-abortion positions, and his judicial appointments reflect this stance.
Harris and her running mate proudly advocate pro-death policies for children.
15. Trump is FOR the Second Amendment.
Donald Trump believes it is the inalienable right of every American to carry a weapon to protect life, liberty, and property.
Kamala Harris believes guns should be confiscated from law-abiding citizens, and she has been in the practice of freeing lawbreaking citizens from jail.
16. Trump Realizes Health Care Must Be Reformed
Although not successful in fully repealing the Affordable Care Act, Donald Trump’s 2016-2020 Presidential administration sought to reform aspects of it.
Trump recognizes that “social health care,” like that in European nations, the Soviet Union, and Marxist nations, is far worse than health care built on a capitalistic system of profit, research, and development.
17. Trump Opposes Political Correctness
In mass democracy, the mass majority with a majority mentality and morality, will cancel any minority opinion in the name of “political” (mass) correctness.
Donald Trump understands that only a REPUBLIC protects the minority from the evil of mass democracy.
18. Trump Is an Outsider
I ran for U.S. Congress in 2022, and the one take-away from my enjoyable but unsuccessful bid for U.S. Congressman is this:
Washington insiders (those in office eight years or more), get RICH off the backs of taxpayers.
President Trump didn’t take a SALARY when he was President.
He’s not a Washington insider.
19. Trump is Also Anti-Establishment.
Many see Trump as a political outsider who opposes career politicians and the Washington establishment.
The United States is now run by a “UNI-PARTY” - a “pro-war, pro-monetary deficit spending, pro-illegal immigration, and pro-global” party.
Trump doesn’t fit in the Uni-Party.
That’s why they want him out.
20. Trump Believes in Peace through Strength.
Donald Trump believes in increased military spending and complete military readiness, which is necessary for national defense.
Under the Biden and Harris administration, we abandoned billions of dollars of military equipment to our enemies.
Our enemies see Harris as “weak.” They fear Trump’s “strength.”
21. Trump Supports Traditional Values.
Donald Trump makes it clear to USA citizens that he favors conservative social policies, including traditional family structures.
Kamala Harris believes two men can marry and have children.
22. Elon Musk Supports Donald Trump
You may not like Trump, Musk, others MAGA supporters, but you must at least - pause - and consider that one of the most brilliant men of this century is throwing his support behind Donald Trump.
23. Trump Is a Leader.
At this moment in time, we don’t need an emotional “feel-good,” full of joy, irrational person as our President.
We need a leader.
24. My Friend, the Original Seal Team 2 Leader, Navy Seal John Parton, Supports Donald Trump.
This last reason to support Donald Trump is very subjective.
When the Navy Seals were formed by the United States government, my friend, John Parton, commanded Seal Team 2 and served four tours in Vietnam (the only Seal to serve 4 tours).
John has gone with me to visit the weak, the outcast, and the dying in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and private homes over the last decade.
He is NOT a Republican.
He is a man of mercy. He is a man of justice. He is a man of wisdom.
My friend, John Parton, supports Donald Trump. This is John’s reasoning:
“We need a President who will protect the United States.”
Rachelle and I will be flying to North Carolina in the next couple of weeks for a private prayer meeting with Donald and Melania Trump.
I do not believe Donald Trump is a perfect man.
And for those of you, my friends, who support Kamala Harris, I say, “I respect you and your candidate.”
But in good conscience, I cannot support Kamala Harris over Donald Trump.
It’s not a matter of politics.
My reasoning revolves around Natural Law morality, U.S. sovereignty, and individual liberty.
These are the 24 principle reasons I will be voting for Donald Trump.
I agree with several of your points, but the man is unfit for office. He cares mostly about himself, he is a dividing force in our country (not a uniting force), and he lacks the mental aptitude to comprehend the complex nature of the world we live in.
Thank you for this post. Well said in your usual articulate manner.
