Amen, Angel. Amen. I think you know that I agree. I have friends, however, who want the government to be gracious like the church, and the church to be laud Law like the government. I move in both spheres, but want the government to focus on the Rule of Law and the church to focus on the gospel of grace.
Wade, your closing statement made mention of Church and State.I agree that we must separate State from the kingdom. I also see that the State is ordained, by God, so they are answerable to God not to the church.
I believe it’s our responsibility to give prophetic criticism to the government, as was done in the Old Testament. The state has a responsibility to protect, nurture and maintain human life. I find it odd that they choose autonomy.
With that being said, I believe Pastors have a responsibility to God, to take care of the church, raise the people of God up and we do this through Grace….I’m probably wrong, but that’s my belief. Love your posts. Wishing you and the family a Merry Christmas.
I find Thomas Helwys and the 1611 confession more scriptural and closer to the experience you have related here. Praise the Lord for His grace in the life of this man and in yours.

Grainne, I am not as familiar with Helwys and the 1611 Confession. I'm doing some research. Thank you, sir. And, Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Actually, I am a ma’am not a sir! That’s the trouble with Irish names!
My humble apologies, mam! :) Thanks, Grainne.
