A destructive fire in Napa Valley, California

Today is Reformation Day, October 31, 2024.

It’s the 507th anniversary of Martin Luther pinning his 95 Theses Against the Sale of Indulgences on the door of Wittenberg Castle, the beginning of The Protestant Reformation.

This post is written in honor of Martin Luther and what he taught me about “the death of the wicked.”

I learn a great deal from the “Dead Theologian Society.” Much more than from living theologians.

Whether you believe what is written here to be truth or not, my goal is to show you that men like Martin Luther, William Tyndale, and others all held to what is called conditional immortality.

Conditional immortality means living forever is not natural to human beings.

Human immortality is conditioned on union with Christ, the only One naturally immortal, who will give “immortality” as a “gift” to those who believe in Him (John 3:16).
