βIs not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?β - Job 12:12
Most people know DEI as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
But that ridiculously racist DEI is no longer a problem in the USA.
Even DEI parades are now considered ANETHEMA (cursed) by corporate America.
Iβm 63 years old and will tell you about the real DEI conservatives donβt like to discuss.
The DEI destroying our country is DEBT, ENTITLEMENTS, and INFRASTRUCTURE.
Iβll explain.
DEBT
In America, 65% of people are living paycheck to paycheck.
Over half of those people use credit cards to pay for personal expenses. DEBT in the United States is a horrific cancer thatβs about to kill.
In Proverbs 22:7, the Bible warns,
βThe rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.β
This timeless truth reveals the peril of debt, a burden that enslaves individuals, corporations, and nations alike.
According to the U.S. Treasury Department, sovereign (government) debt in the United States has ballooned to over 36 trillion, with commitments to fund other programs called βunfunded liabilitiesβ totaling an additional 175 trillion, tying future generations to creditors' whims.
Like the Israelites under Pharaohβs yoke, a nation shackled by such obligations loses its freedom, its sovereignty eroded by the weight of promises it cannot keep.
On a personal level, Americans drown in over 17 trillion of household debt, as reported by the Federal Reserve, with credit cards and mortgages tightening the noose.
Psalm 37:21 declares,
βThe wicked borrows but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives.β
Yet, a culture of consumption has turned borrowing into a way of life, stripping individuals of financial peace and binding them to endless repayment. This personal bondage mirrors the spiritual slavery sin imposesβboth promise fleeting pleasure at the cost of lasting liberty.
Corporations fare no better. According to the Institute of International Finance, U.S. corporate debt exceeds $20 trillion, often fueled by reckless leverage in pursuit of profit.
Ecclesiastes 5:5 cautions,
"It is better that you should not vow than vow and not pay."
When companies overextend, they risk collapse, dragging employees, investors, and markets into the abyss.
This unholy trinity of debtβsovereign, personal, and corporateβthreatens the stability of a nation once blessed with abundance. It echoes the biblical call to stewardship over squandering and warns us against expecting the government to sustain every pleasurable narcissism rather than enjoying Godβs promise to satisfy every personal need (see Philippians 4:19).
ENTITLEMENTS
When I ran for the United States Congress in 2022, the biggest surprise I had was the number of conservatives who supported me but cautioned me, βDonβt take away our entitlements!β
