‘There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother’ - Proverbs 18:24
In the shadowed valleys of ancient Judah and the sprawling plains of Babylonian exile, three prophets—Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel—stood as beacons of faith, bound not only by their devotion to YHWH but by a profound friendship that weathered persecution, exile, and despair.
Born in different times yet united in purpose, Jeremiah (b. 661 BC– d. 580 BC), Ezekiel (b. 622 BC – d. 570 BC), and Daniel (b. 622 BC– d. 550 BC) exemplified a bond that transcended distance and danger.
Their lives, interwoven with divine calling and mutual support, offer a timeless encouragement: God’s people must stand by one another, even when the world turns against them.
