One of the most enjoyable books I've ever read is my current non-fiction selection entitled A. Lincoln: A Biography by Ronald C. White, Jr.
This 800-page tome, filled with vivid anecdotes and remarkable historical illustrations, is the official 200th-anniversary biography of our 16th President.
Last night, before retiring, I reread a section in the book about Abraham Lincoln's removal of Major General John C. Frémont from his command as head of the Union Army's Department of the West.
