Making Jesus first misses the truth He's already central in everything.

“And Christ is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” - Colossians 1:17

• Have you recently felt that things are “falling apart?”

• Do you find it often difficult to “hold things together?”

The average Christian will tell someone struggling, “Just make Jesus first in your life, and He’ll take care of everything.”

“Make Jesus first.” That phrase gives me the heebie-jeebies.

• It wrongly conveys the idea that one has power “to make Jesus first.”

• It wrongly conveys there’s a possibility Jesus could be last at anything.

• It wrongly conveys that one’s priorities limits or increases Jesus’ control.
