Israel Has Taken Mount Hermon
The Israeli Defense Force has taken over the famous biblical mountain.
It is as if the dew of Hermon
were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore.
In the chaos after the fall of Bashar Assad's regime in Syria, Israel sent troops of their Israel Defense Force (IDF) north from the Golan Heights and took the peak as well as the northern and eastern slopes of Mount Hermon.
Lebanon has claimed the northern slopes of Hermon as its country’s asset, and Syria has claimed the peak (with a military base on top) and the eastern slopes of Hermon.
Not anymore.
