'For GOD'S Sake'

A true comfort disguised in a trite curse.

‘Don’t misuse the name of the LORD your God’ - Exodus 20:7.

‘I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more” - Isaiah 43:25, NIV.

After a bit of traveling, Rachelle and I have been home this week. We began watching the #1 show on Amazon Prime, ‘Friends and Neighbors.’

I do not recommend it to you.

This popular series bothered me for multiple reasons, but one of the most egregious is the flippant manner in which God’s name is taken in vain.

‘Why do people have to be so vulgar?’ I asked my wife.
