The Earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains. The world and all those who dwell in it are His, for He has built it on the waters and set it among the rivers” - Ps. 24:1-2
In a world filled with negative news, it’s time for some good news.
Years ago, I sat with a friend from Europe in a restaurant as we discussed growing radical Islamic fundamentalism around the world in the aftermath of 9/11.
It seemed in 2002 that the world was “out of control” because of random Islamic terrorist attacks, similar to the way the world seems out of control in 2024 with all the wars going on.
My friend said something I’ll never forget.
“Nothing that evil lasts for long in God’s world.”
Yesterday, I had the privilege of hearing from Xi Van Fleet. Xi (pronounced -she) is from China. Xi was seven years old when Chairman Mao, the leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), began The Cultural Revolution.
What began with the tearing down of statues of ancient Chinese heroes ended in 20 million people being murdered by Mao.
Xi Van Fleet escaped China in her twenties, and by 2020, she was a middle-aged housewife living in Virginia.
That’s when she began to see the violence of Black Lives Matter, the tearing down of statues of heroes of the United States, and the authoritarian lockdowns by politicians with power who trample on the rights of the people.
“I’m living through a cultural revolution again.” Xi thought.
But this time, Xi was old enough to fight.
She went down to the Loudon County local school board meeting in 2021 and spoke out against the authoritarian lockdowns, comparing them with Maoist China.
Xi’s advocacy for liberty, charity, constitutionality, and Christianity are making a difference.
BOEING Corporation
Like many American corporations, since 2008, Boeing Corporation began instituting Mao’s revolutionary workplace principles.
Instead of calling them the 4 Olds as Mao did - Old Ideas, Old Culture, Old Customs, Old Habits - modern American corporations called them Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI). And, sadly, anyone who opposed DEI was a “racist.”
Xi calls DEI old Maoism in disguise.
The principles of DEI basically say that people are placed in “groups” - and if a group (race, gender, and sex) is underrepresented in the workplace, a more qualified candidate will be set aside to bring DEI to the corporation.
America was built on a meritocracy. Sure, a black spot in our history is slavery, but by 2000, any person - regardless of race, sex, or gender - could be the best in his or her field based on their merit.
DEI is reverse racism and, as Mao did in China, divides American people into good or bad groups.
I discovered something about Boeing Corporation yesterday after visiting with Xi.
