The MeToo Movement started in 2006.
It began as an awareness campaign against sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and rape culture, where people publicized their experiences of sexual abuse or harassment.
The official MeToo Movement website gives this explanation:
As a global and survivor-led movement against sexual violence, we are dedicated to creating pathways for healing, justice, action, and leadership. If your life was forever changed by sexual violence, you are not alone. Wherever you are in your healing journey, we are here to help.
Sexual predatory behavior is a crime, and predators must be held accountable.
We all can agree with this statement. I agree with it so much I did the following:
I flew to California to meet the private pilot of serial sexual abuser Harvey Weinstein. The pilot had come to faith in Christ while listening to me preach.
