There’s been a rash of sexual abuse cases in churches nationwide.

When women (or men), teens, and children are abused by religious leaders who cling to a fraudulent position of authority, the people of God must do something about it.

NBC News recently ran a documentary about a church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where a pastor abused young women for decades. In the opening few minutes, I’m with the victims at the Tulsa Police Station as they file their initial reports.

I’ve done what I can to help bring accountability to religious leaders in various denominations.

The NBC News documentary below is not easy to watch.

However, every Christian should understand that it’s up to us to hold church leadership accountable. When we leave it to others, we do a disservice to Christ’s Kingdom.
