Church and State
Be liberal in grace as a Christian and a conservative statist as to the Constitution.
I served as a teaching pastor of large evangelical churches for over forty years. In 2022, I resigned from the pastorate to run for United States Congress (OK-03).
While I was a pastor, people called me a liberal. When I ran for Congress, people called me a fanatical Christian nationalist.
In reality, I’m a liberal Christian when it comes to my grace and love for all people, but I'm a conservative statist in terms of the Constitution of the United States.

As Patriots, we should want the borders to be closed, immigration to be limited and legalized, criminals to be punished, national defense a priority, and our churches to care for the poor and homeless, not government social programs.

A little four-year-old girl was hit with a stray bullet in Times Square during broad daylight. The video of the police officer carrying the limp, bleeding, wounded girl to safety went viral. Trash is everywhere on the streets, and the city feels unsafe.
Government confusion has destroyed New York City.
The New York Police Department officers we met were wonderful.
We prepared hamburgers for them, gave them prayer grams from people in Oklahoma, and encouraged them.
The officers told us:
